DeAndre Hopkins - Best hands in the draft. Not afraid to block, always step up in the biggest games, even when Sammy Morris went down, he was still grabbing 100+ yards and a TD+ a game. Had 1.4K yards and 18 TDs last season, and always improve every season. Will step in to be WR2.

DJ Swearinger - Safety was a need, and there wasn't any ILB available, so it was the best pick. DJ isn't afraid of contact and is a very hard hitter, and will be the 3rd safety, the same role Glover Quin played. With Ed Reed mentoring him, I think he will improve his deep coverage skills. He does draw a lot of flags due to being a very aggressive safety.

Brennan Williams - I don't know anything about the player, but I do know we struggled on the right side last season and he played at North Carolina, and TJ Yates said they ran the same offense when he came to Houston 2 years ago, which mean he should know how to play in the ZBS. If he can play in the ZBS, he should be able to start, or at least split snaps with Newton.

Sam Montgomery - From what I know, he's a good player, but he isn't focused on football and has shitty work ethnic. He will play OLB, so that should take care of the 3 OLBs rotation. If it was up to me, I would've gone with Alex Okafor, high potential and good work ethnic.

I think this has been a very positive draft for the Texans so far. I'm excited to see what they do the rest of the way.

Wade Phillips will light a fire under his ass I hope. He's a beast when he wants to be. Almost reminds me of Mario Williams in some ways.

At the combine, Montgomery said he didn’t play all-out because weak opponents allowed for some respite.

“You know, some weeks when we didn't have to play the harder teams, there were some times when effort was not needed,” Montgomery said in Indianapolis. “But when we had the big boys coming in, the Bamas or the South Carolinas, I grabbed close to those guys and went all-out.

“Of course, this is a new league, the NFL, and there are no small teams, small divisions. It is all Alabamas and LSUs every week. It's definitely something I have to get adjusted to, but I'm sure with the right coaching I will be fine.”

Good value for Ryan Griffin that late in the draft. He's a big tight end with good hands who plays hard.

He has a nose for the end zone also.
