No. I think Mixon was underrated. His blocking was a liability, which likely led to this move. Bengals offense moving more pass heavy. The successful teams in the NFL do not pay for 1st tier RB’s.

I saw an interesting stat on the experience & salary of the past 10+ Super Bowl teams starting RB.

Do you really think you can get an early second for Higgins? Whoever trades for him has to cough up for a big contract right?

yeah they do. keep him around 1 more year why not. prob get a comp pick if he leaves not 100% sure on all that

I believe if Higgins plays on the tag and then signs with someone else next year you guys would get a third, which would be pretty good value IMO. Another year of production with prime Burrow, and then you get a mid round lottery pick.

Extending him seems unrealistic at this point with the guys you have to pay.

Comp picks all depend on what you lost and gained during Free Agency. If they only lost Higgins in FA, but signed multiple players in FA, they wont get shit back as far as Comp picks go for Higgins. It's a fine line, multiple factors go into play when it comes into getting Comp picks.

And of course every team loses/gains players every FA, but I'm talking actual players of value with higher priced contracts.
