I'm still having a hard time believing that JERMICHAEL FINLEY gave us two of the biggest plays of the game.

Even w/o Mathews we got 5 sacks that was impressive but I think the score would have been a lot different had he been in it imo.

And that TD of Cobb's all I can say to sum it up is WOW... :o

yeah the defense played well but the O just couldn't really produce when the opportunities came right to them :(

I don't know that the offense was all that bad. It was clear from the start that they wanted to establish a run game to keep the Lions' DLine from being able to get after Rodgers too much. (Actually the second game in a row that they've run the ball more than they've thrown it. Kinda scary.) We know the run game isn't going to dominate, so it really just took the ball out of Rodgers hands a bit more than normal, but probably let him do more when he had it. Quality over quantity and all that jazz.

never said they played bad. i said when the opportunities came, we didnt capitalize. such as the takeaways/not scoring with great field position and potential field goal before the half etc.

I know what you were saying. Your post was just what jogged my memory of what I've been reading all day. Lot of people saying they should have blown the Lions out and that the offense had a bad performance. They did exactly what they needed to as McCarthy showed once again that he has the NFC North's number.

which is really all he needs to be concerned about each season. outside division wins are important, but pointless if you can't win in your own division. mccarthy has been a superstar in that regard

MM doesn't seem worried about Raji coming off the field with another ankle injury yesterday. As usual though, gotta wait until Wednesday before we get any real info on injuries.
