I don't understand why you keep thinking they will get rid of the talented players we have and start over, doesn't make any sense.

The new coaching staff, assuming we pick the right one, takes the team to the next level, not start over.

All we need to do is replace stafford with Shaun Hill and Akers with Kickalicious

lol from an article

"Everything was looking up for the Detroit Lions after their Week 10 victory in Chicago.

They had just improved to 6-3 and swept the season series with the Bears. Their first NFC North title in 20 years looked to be in very good shape"

The thing that kills me about Schwartz is this:
14-0 Halftime

Chip Kelly goes into the locker room and his team changes cleats
Jimmy Boy makes no adjustments

Jeremy Ross kept us in this game AND WE STILL LOST.

Schwartz is not smart enough to make halftime adjustments and gets outcoached on a weekly basis.

I hope we really hire a new coach who has a "Jim Harbaugh" effect on this team that takes us to the next level if we don't make the playoffs.

And the thing that kills me about this team is this: We are talented enough to win every game if we don't shoot ourselves in the foot.

We are one of the few teams who can go into SEATTLE and win if we stop with these freak accidents. I mean come on, -4 in TO and a blocked punt and we were 3 yards away from winning before CALVIN JOHNSON, CALVINNNNN JOHNSONNNN OF ALL PEOPLE lets the ball slip out for an INT.
The drops kill us every week.
The special teams (K and P) kill us every week.
The TOs kill us every week.

We can beat literally any team anywhere if we can just minimize the mistakes

That is a dream. New coaches don't build off what others brought in. They have their own style, their own playbook, etc. Mind you, they obv. won't get rid of everything. But they will get rid of players who don't match their scheme. It will also force the current players to learn a new scheme, some won't be able to do it, they will be removed. A new coaching staff means rebuilding. There are very few exceptions.

Lets say we do make the playoffs, who would you guys rather play? 49ers or the Panthers?

Panthers and our defense are very similar. Strong front 7. Weak against the pass. I would take our offense over their offense so I would rather play them.

I hate going up against San Fran. Jim harbaugh will out coach Schwartz and pull out a close win like he has twice in the past

I don't care who we play--I care whether or not we show up or not .
