Brooks reed practiced yesterday so if he's good to go for Saturday that'll help out a lot and I'd be more comfortable on them covering the spread lol.

Whats the spread?

Just bet on the Texans straight up against the Bengals. It's the playoffs and the Bengals are too good of a team to be laying them points. You don't need a spread when the Texans could very well only win by a field goal. Sort of crazy giving up 4.5 points considering they've been playing bad football for over a month. It's roughly 2:1 odds but so be it.

And then pray they beat the Bengals and have those sweet-looking plus points (maybe +10.5) at New England next weekend. It will probably be more like +7 though. But I would want +10.5 or no bet because they lost 42-14 not too long ago at Foxboro and that was without superstar Rob Gronkowski, who will be playing in the playoffs.

They should cover it I have faith.

Tickets are surprisingly not that expensive for the game on Saturday. Quite a few in 100-150 range.

4.5 points is a lot to cover. The Bengals offense is incredibly explosive and their defense is as solid as any team in the playoffs. I'd be thrilled if the Texans merely escape with a game-winning field goal to be honest with you. The only way the Texans will win big is if the defense can force some Andy Dalton turnovers like they did last year. That game was tied 10-10 late in the second quarter before Watt had the amazing pick six off Dalton and gave the Texans all the momentum they needed to win.

And oh yeah, winning and losing this game may come down to Johnathan Joseph covering A.J. Green. That's the big matchup to keep your eye on. Joseph has not played at a pro bowl level for most of this season due to that nagging groin injury. If Joseph is not 100 % then we may as well accept that Green will have about 140 receiving yards and 2 Touchdowns.

I'll gladly take a win any way we can get it. Whether it's by 1 point or 30 points. The Texans have to be entering the playoffs playing the worst football out of all the playoff teams. So there is a lot to prove in this game. Also this will be Matt Schaub's first playoff game. I hope he plays like a champion and not a big-game choker like Tony Romo.

Houston fans are outraged and pissed, like I am, that they choked away the 1st seed in the AFC Playoffs by losing three of their last four games. We were expecting two home playoffs games in the divisional round and AFC Championship. Not one measly wild-card home game. Tickets should be no more than $80 for this one. If by some miracle the Ravens-Colts winner can upset the Broncos in Denver and the Texans beat the Bengals and upset the Patriots in Foxboro -- then I guarantee you that tickets will sell for $1000 plus for a potential AFC Championship game in Houston.

With brooks reed in that'll crunch down on Dalton's time to throw and give Joseph and watt a break.

Lol if Schaub flops we have Yates with that playoff experience
He better start movin though.

If the offense continues to struggle and Schaub is moving slow in the pocket, getting sacked and throwing interceptions, and the crowd is booing early in the third quarter and we're looking like we did against the Vikings in the last home game... I honestly wouldn't be shocked if Kubiak went to Yates. That would be a desperate thing to do though and it would probably be something thought about at halftime. Let's hope that doesn't happen.

Matt Schaub has a lot to prove, so does the entire offense, but Schaub is going to be the one who has to elevate his game. He over-threw and under-threw two Touchdown passes against the Colts last week. Those plays could have changed the entire complexion of that game. The elite quarterbacks don't miss those chances given to them. Schaub could have earned us home field throughout and a first-round bye. Now it's his fault we're playing a wild-card game on Saturday.

If #8 doesn't play like a champion then we may as well not even show up to the game on Saturday. The Bengals will beat us.

He has to play like a big-game quarterback.

I would so love for the Texans to beat the Bengals on Saturday and then pull off an epic and satisfying, probably one for the ages, monumental upset at New England next weekend. But we just don't have the playcalling on offense. Bill Belichick is a mastermind and Gary Kubiak is nowhere near his level as a head coach. Even if the talent was equal there is a big difference in coaching.

With Kubiak as head coach, we've been trounced at Foxboro both times playing there (40-7 in 2006 and 42-14 in 2012). But I can only hope we make it back there next weekend. Hopefully they can play a much closer game the third time around in 2013. Since it's the playoffs you figure the Texans will at least play hard.

The sad thing is, the winner of the Texans and Bengals game isn't going to be taken seriously in the divisional round. They'll be double-digit underdogs. Bengals will get spanked at Denver and we will likely get spanked at New England. But oh well, that's why they play the games... You never know, anything can happen.

He is one of the best ever at out smarting teams you don't see alot.
