Hey everyone. This is my first post here and I’m sorry if this gets long winded. I’ve known John since I was 16. Was standing up in his wedding in a few weeks. This weekend was actually supposed to be the bachelor party. He tried multiple times over the years to get me onto this site and I never really got into the whole community and commenting thing. We had a beautiful ceremony tonight for J4 surrounded by friends and family. I was laying here in bed and looking for this site and couldn’t remember what it was called, only that his user name was cheesehead. I did some googling and here we are. He was my best friend and my brother and it’s so great to see all of your comments and some of your donations. Two years ago, we started a tradition of going to a football game every year with two of our other friends. We had planned to hit all 32 stadiums together. Never thought we’d only make it to one. The three of us are planning on continuing this tradition and making stops at the rest of the NFL stadiums. This year our game was going to be Minnesota vs Green Bay in MN. If anyone wants meet up, has questions or just talk about John, let me know. He was amazing in so many ways and I’ll always be forever grateful for the time we had. I’m sorry it took me so long to join and that this was my first post. I’ll never be able to be as active as him or involved in so many of your lives but I appreciate all the time you all took for him. And while I will miss bantering with him about my sports bet locks for the week, I am going to keep the tradition going. Every year we’d make 3 bets about the packers, all over unders. One was always a record bet, one was an offensive prediction, and one was a defensive prediction and we’d bet a case of beer on each one. He always got the better of me but I loved do it. I encourage you all to do it with a buddy. Sorry for the long winded post but I figured some of you might like to hear that John’s memory is being carried on and his spirit is always with us. Go Pack Go

Thanks for posting man. John dodged meeting up with me at a ravens game in 2017. In 2018 I was miserable at my job and wed talk on fb for hours about job openings, editing resumes, career goals. He told me when they were relocating for Jessica's job and all the different opening he was applying for. We'd talk financial independence and investing and whether he should get rid of his Honda or drive it into the ground (or a ditch lol). We found some bethesda softworks job openings and joked about how sick it would be if he could work there.

I started dating my girlfriend and he randomly sent me a picture of him with her sister  at a rush concert with my girlfriends uncle haha, later on I'd meet that uncle and he got all excited to talk about "little John".

I was really looking forward to ravens packers this year. I'll be having a few for him.

- Andrew

This is incredibly sad. Our friendship started on here with friendly Lions vs Packers banter and eventually lead to us getting to know each other more personally off of D2jsp. John and I have continuously talked about meeting for some drinks when he comes to Michigan and when I go to Wisconsin. We would specifically talk about going to Bells for some Oberon, which was a drink he seemed to really enjoy, and is made here where I live. Unfortunately, we never got to meet face-to-face, but I still consider him a good friend. I will have an Oberon for you later, John. May you rest in peace and may your family find the strength to carry on through these dark times.

I think a Packers jersey with his last name or D2jsp name on it is in order.

I believe I bet and chatted with him on and off over the last 15 years. He’s my age, 32, seems so fucking young to die, I hope he’s at peace.

John would be thrilled if his rip thread could finally remove the utterly useless "Official Nfl Team's [sic] And Websites" thread.

Sad part about that thread is I had the opportunity to reply to it before it was closed, but I just ignored it as stupid nonsense. Would have loved to tell that aspiring mini-mod to fuck off

I doubt it would be stickied, but I'm glad the mods have some sense of leaving this up as we grieve for our friend.

Without that thread I wouldn't be able to find the websites though
