Thank god for that fumble, Miami would've had that game if it wasn't for that fumble, and all of the missed field goals.

Yeah, that game was a bit too close for comfort considering it was against the Dolphins. I'll be at the Texans vs Steelers game in Houston in 2 weeks, that one should be good.

Johnathan Joseph and Brian Cushing both returned in the 4th quarter after leaving the game with injuries. That was great to see because this secondary is really awful without its top free agent signing. Jason Allen couldn't cover Brandon Marshall and was embarrassed when he got over-powered on Miami's only Touchdown pass. Kareem Jackson got burned again on a 41-yard pass interference penalty but at least he saved a Touchdown on the play.

Gary Kubiak said after the game that Arian Foster is fine and he wanted to return into the game but they played it on the safe side by not playing him in the second half. Ben Tate with another 100-plus yard game. A real workhorse he's turning out to be early in the season.

Andre Johnson had a big-time pass slip through his hands (a catch he normally makes) but made up for it with his 23-yard Touchdown reception that put the game away. Also it was nice to see Owen Daniels with a Touchdown grab because he's back to being an elite Tight End. The Texans had to settle for three Field Goals in this game. If they want to beat the really good teams they can't settle for three points on those drives.

I really want to see this team go 3-0 for the first time ever. Start to beat the elite teams on the road. A win at New Orleans would show Houston is for real. And then they can come back to Houston and beat the Steelers Week 4. It's time to do big things. Only way this team will ever turn the corner.

I was shocked that Andre dropped that pass, it was right on the money. 9 times out of 10, hell, 99 times out of 100, he makes that catch.

I was already jumping out of my seat thinking it was a Touchdown. LOL, I think he was ready to waive to his family and friends a little too early. Which he ended up doing after he caught the 23-yard Touchdown pass from Schaub. Miami couldn't cover him even with two defenders.

Is Jonathan Joseph gonna be okay for the Saints game?

We couldn't cover Bmarsh for shit when we had Jason Allen or Kareem Jackson covering him. And we always had a 10 yards cushion, except when JJ was playing...the fuck?

It looks like a day-to-day injury. He taped it up really good when he came back into the game in the 4th quarter. He may be limited in practice this week because of swelling in his ankle. I think he'll be good to start against the Saints as long as he's able to fully practice on Thursday.

The game at New Orleans on Sunday will be a real test for our offense. They know they'll have to score a lot of points because even a great team like the Packers couldn't slow down the Saints offense. And it's even tougher to slow the Saints down at the Superdome. Houston's red-zone offense will likely the tell the story against New Orleans. They always move the ball and get into the red zone but they need to convert those drives into Touchdowns and not Field Goals like they did three times against Miami.

Houston has the number 1 defense in the NFL after two games. After last season that's a pretty good start to the season regardless of the fact that the Colts and Dolphins are both 0-2. I'm somewhat confident they can apply enough pressure on Drew Brees to force a few turnovers. This is the type of game Mario Williams has to dominate. Make Brees feel his presence all game long.

Time to get in shape at Gallery Furniture with Mattress Mack and the Houston Texans cheerleaders. They were out there this morning getting in some work.

Kevin Walter and Johnathan Joseph both practiced the last two days and they should be starting against the Saints. Arian Foster and Derrick Ward will likely be unavailable -- neither practiced on Wednesday. It wouldn't make sense to keep throwing Foster out there when his hamstring hasn't fully healed. Just shut him down until he's 100 % ready to go. Even if it means missing two or three games.

Ben Tate will start and Steve Slaton will be the backup running back the way things look right now. That should still be a good enough rushing attack to get the job done on the ground, especially against a Saints defense that Houston's offensive line has had some success against in the past. The play-action passes will be there when Matt Schaub wants to throw deep. Andre Johnson and Owen Daniels have to make big plays because the Saints defense will not be able to cover either of them.

Houston can counter-attack the Saints blitzes by running the ball 30-plus times. Just grind out the clock and keep Drew Brees off the field. The last thing I want to see is a 48 to 38 offensive shootout erupt inside the Superdome. It's difficult to out-score the Saints on astroturf. This game is going to test Houston's revamped defense. Games like these is why Houston made Wade Phillips the highest-paid defensive coordinator in the league.

The Texans have never been 3-0 before. They've never been three games above .500 for that matter. People keep talking about the Texans taking the next step and becoming a playoff team. Winning a game at New Orleans would move them in the right direction.
