lifelong Texas fan here... i hate em they're just so disappointing every f**king year (lsu last year, bama this year, always ALWAYS lose to some doinky school like tech or kstate) and other schools really rustle their jimmies about hating us; we give them so much ammo. also a Lions fan they are my favorite team bc they do even the slightest thing correct and i love it - absolutely zero expectations

All I hear from football fans is how much they hate every other team than their own, hate most of the players on their own team, hate their own teams coaches, hate the referees, hate the rules, and hate the love broadcast commentary. What in the world do you actually like about this sport? Just bragging rights and a pass to talk smack?

Fantasy football made people this way. I can't stand watching games with my dad or brother anymore because they just bitch about "their players" and how they aren't performing for them.

It's beyond stupid how much fantasy football (and Draft Kings) has ruined Sunday Fundays

Yup that's the main reason why I stopped playing fantasy. The games are far more enjoyable when you aren't worried about *X* player scoring the TD over somebody else.

It can definitely be fun, I played it for a long time up until a few years ago.

I care about post count? If so, I'd be posting "Tuesday etc etc"

I know it's cringe, but the question still remains because the only actual responses to "what do you like about football?" were met with exactly what I described...which was people stating how much of the game they don't like.
Touchdowns was the only real answer so far. The responses are proving my point.

The physicality of the sport makes for good entertainment and all 11 guys on both sides of the ball working together as a unit to be successful is cool

Also like the communal feeling of fandom. For Eagles games, every Sunday is a big event. With buddies, family, or whoever you might watch with if you choose to do so. You can of course get this with other sports, but they only play once a week so games feel like they mean a lot. Something to look forward to each week
