That was what...two seasons ago? That was Slay's first season with the Eagles, and easily his worst with the team so far. He was solid that season overall (had some brilliant games mixed in with underwhelming games), but nowhere near what he has been since then playing at an elite level. Metcalf definitely got the best of him on several plays in that game though, but Slay battled on an island by himself most of the game shadowing Metcalf with no help over the top from the safeties. He did say after the game that was easily the worst game of his career though, so respect to him for being honest. Then again, Metcalf destroyed everyone that season with Russ throwing to him rofl.
Slay was phenomenal last season as one of the best corners in the game, and looks to be as good or better this season. It's great seeing him underrated while that overrated bum in Dallas gets all the praise for interceptions while giving up 1000 yards per game lmfao.
