Hang in there buddy. The true test of a person's character is how they stand during times of adversity.

Don't worry, there's a silver lining for things like this. It makes you harder, teaches you to grind with what ya got and make do with little.

Having it easy and having tons of help not having to worry about everything you do is nice and all when you have mom and dad there to help cover things like phone, car, food, etc., but builds you up about as strong as a fucking marshmallow. Doesn't build character besides someone feeling like an entitled little spoiled brat.

Situations like this let you appreciate the dollar more, and appreciate the small stuff.

I should specify that I'm sorry to hear about the lay off and even more sorry to hear you bought a jeep of all things

Exactly. All the BS my wife and I went through made us much stronger as a family as well as individually. Whenever we have some new monkey thrown into the mix, I remind her that we've been through worse and always figure things out in the end.

Keep your head up and try to stay positive.

Using your savings to buy one of the fastest depreciating goods is worse than poorly thought out.
And your sister is awful. Best of luck.

If I were you, I would go whoop your sister's ass and eat all of her food. That should relieve some stress. Sorry this happened to you.

Have to agree with DM on this one.
Yeah it sucks short term, you live on ramen noodles and hot dogs from aldi's for a long time. (if you aren't shopping at Aldi already you need to start ASAP)
But when you can learn how to live with little, watching every penny, it really teaches you to save when you actually do make money.

You'll get through this, if you don't mind my asking, where did you work?
It's a longshot but if you live near the right place in Michigan I might be able to refer you to a job. Company of mine is hiring and the pay is really good for the amount of work you put in.
