I think you misunderstood what I meant with my need rankings.
Just because a need is higher than another doesn't mean I'd draft it that way at all. The pick has to make sense value wise and need wise (and a proper fit for the team). No QB has value at #2 overall. No QB has value in the first round, but obviously it's unrealistic to think no QB will go in the first round, hell, there could be upwards of 3 taken in the top 10, 6-7 taken in the first round even simply because they're QBs lol.
As for Gabba Gabba specifically, yes he's had it hard but he hasn't shown anything in my mind. When he has flashed, it's been signs of an average QB. You guys take Matt Scott, roll the dice with him and Gabba Gabba and if you shit the bed, next year is heavy with QBs but as it stands, I still see QB as the #1 need for any team that doesn't have a solidified NFL caliber QB.
Gabbert would be the highest rated QB, if he came out in this draft. All the QBs in this draft are Developmental. I understood exactly what you meant in your rankings. However, we'd have to waste our #2 overall pick on a QB, in order for him to start from day one. Considering you take a guy that high, he must start. None of the other QBs in this draft, are going to beat out Gabbert as rookies. They are all developmental guys in my honest opinion.
