Michael Irvin had it.

So did Chargers OT Marcus McNeill. He was drafted in 06, made 2 pro bowls and isn't even in the league anymore. There's been other guys as well, he's just the first guy off the top of my head.

Guys have played full careers on it and others have barely been able to touch the surface of their careers. It's a huge risk, huge reward type situation with Jones.

Where is K. Short from Purdue? Btw like the mock gets all of our needs and I think datone jones would be a steal in the 2nd

You know, in all the years I've done this (about 3-4 now), every week from week 3-4 starting and ending the week of the draft, you'd think I'd double draft and miss players more often. I don't believe I have thus far and now I do both in one draft haha.

Short goes to Dallas at 17 in round 2 and all DTs fall 1 pick at the position.

As for McFadden, Indy takes Will Davis in Round 3, Mathieu still to the Pats and after that, all corners go up one and Carolina takes Kyle Fuller, Terry Hawthorne or Micah Hyde.

Thanks for catching those guys.

Could definitely see that happening for us, though I think RB will come a little later, as Indy grabbed Ballard in the 5th I could see us eying someone in that area.  Don't like Manuel a ton but he did put his name in the bag(if it wasn't already there) for being a top-3 QB in this draft.  Fits Arians system physically and if Arians/Moore are QB guru's they should be able to fix his mechanics.

Fisher's the only guy in my top tier(5 players, team-specific board) left at our pick.

I put Taylor as the top back in this draft so I couldn't pass on him in the third.

But honestly, I see us going after Mendy and going with him and Ryan Williams and then maybe a 5-7th round back too or Powell.

As for QB, if Arians doesn't have someone in mind that he wants to go ham after in FA, I think it has to be Manuel at this point. Like you said, he fills all the needs that Arians wants and he can mold him into something special hopefully. I'd be fine with that pick now with Arians. With Whizy I would have been pissed though.

From what I've seen through the Senior Bowl coverage, Fisher > Joeckel so I'll be ecstatic if Philly passes on him if Joeckel is gone.

If Alex or big John fall to us. (please god) I want a 1st round talent plug and play game changer on defense so bad. Lol... In your opinion who could fall to us at 30 on defense...? I think atl will pick up a guard in fa and a te in fa.

I'm assuming big John is Johnathan Jenkins? If so, if he falls to you guys that's a great pick. If it were Alex Okafor or Jonathan Cooper, I'd say Cooper for sure. He's a much better value pick there than Okafor. That being said, I realize I have Okafor going before Cooper but there are still plenty of pass rushers in this draft, the interior offensive line guys run a little thin so that gives Cooper much more value imo. Plus I can't really see Okafor being there that late in the first anyway.

On Defense, DL specifically for you guys, those who could be avai at 30 would most likely be: Johnathan Jenkins, Margus Hunt or Jesse Williams. Also, Jarvis Jones might just be there too.

why dont you have millner going to the lions anymore in rd one?

Werner is a much better talent than Milliner and still a need for the Lions. I had them going Milliner just for the sake of the position but the Lions are usually a team who drafts BPA rather than reach for position so Werner is a better move.

Would love a dt and de in the early rounds, but god I hope warmack falls to us.

Don't get your hopes up haha. Some have him falling into the late teens, early 20s, honestly, him making it out of the top 10 will surprise me.

I'm hoping we can trade back and pick up Elam. There's a lot of DT depth in this draft and Elam would be a definite upgrade.

But I'm not getting my hopes up.

Yeah, I don't predict trades, too tough lol. But yeah that's an option for you guys, a lot of teams up top may be looking to move back though so it may be tough.

Now that shit would be scary but you'd be giving up your first this year and probably next year too, idk if that's worth it.

5th round pick,
4th round if we make the playoffs
3rd round if we win a playoff game.
2nd round, when we win the superbowl

Jets may be dumb, but they aren't that dumb haha.

They've already said they're expecting 2 firsts for Revis, you may be able to get them down to a first and a second or third but I doubt anything more than that.

I think Lattimore's rehab process has put him back into consideration to be the 1st back taken. His talent coupled with Peterson's successful rehab and even Willis McGahee being a 1st round pick who missed his entire rookie season with a torn ACL help his case.
I could see Mendenhall but we don't really have money, though who knows what kind of interest there will be in him. I like both the Arkansas backs(Dennis Johnson and Knile Davis) as potential late round/UDFA bodies for different roles, could see Burkhead in the 5th/6th as he's got a comparable build to Ballard. Powell's got talent for us but considering he got Kolb hurt and did the same thing weeks later(didn't understand audibles, had been with the team for ~1.5 years) don't know if we can legitimately trust him back there.

I wouldn't be terribly upset with any QB in the 2nd to be honest, just as long as if he's not showing progress it doesn't turn Arians off from drafting a 1st round QB next year(I do believe Lindley would've been in this log-jam this year, and he was a 6th rounder last year. Tannehill would be my #1 QB this year too.). I don't see the FA or internal fit. Truth be told, I think theres a legitimate chance we haven't seen the last of John Skelton. Cheap as an RFA and schematical fit.

Fisher's been very highly thought of all year by some, some of the bigger names overlooked him because of his school and Matthews/Lewan being in the mix. LT isn't the biggest need, but I don't see Levi learning how to pass block missing a year in his prime, and don't see Potter going from the worst run-blocking tackle in the league to anywhere near Levi's level. Getting Fisher puts Potter as the swing-tackle and gives us the option of either trying Levi at guard(cutting Snyder), or just cutting him(Snyder at RG).

If Jarvis fell to thirty... God would have sent us a gift. After watching the guy play at UGA... Atlanta would be happy to take the risk on this guy...

It's not super likely to happen, but it's at least a possibility now. Can always hope.
