Eventually something has to give with their QB problems over the years. I’d say they are close to the Browns in never having a QB but they have stuck with some QBs for a handful of years. Just none of them were elite or mvp-type QBs. I think if they get a solid lineman or two and keep what they have, they have a chance to turn the ship around quite fast. They have the talent on the offensive side of the ball but Keenan Allen will be out of the league soon I imagine (32 yrs old).

I agree with you and sports is about entertainment and if you cant score you aren't fun to watch that's why the Bears with the giant fanbase Chicago has should produce such a better team.

Ownership of the Bears is shit.

They can't even host a Super Bowl because they can't build a new stadium.

I may be a Vikings fan but I've lived in Chicago my whole life. Got to see Jordan win 6 with the Bulls. The Blackhawks won 3 Stanley Cups. The Cubs and White Sox won World Series.

But the Bears? Big let down for me as a Chicagoan and I'm not a Bears fan it's just like "be better" quit passing the jar of excuses around. Our city deserves to host a SB build a damn domed stadium broke ass owner got the team for "100 bucks" from her Uncle/Dad and the team is probably worth 10 billion now but she can't afford a few billion for a stadium?

fields is a backup at best, every snap with him felt like a crisis waiting to happen, dude's good for at least 1 fumble a game

he's fine as a game manager, but if you need him go out and win you a game you're fucked lol

steelers held their opponents to like 10 ppg during those first 4 wins, they'd have won those with pretty much anyone at qb

It's alright to be excited for a new hire, don't always have to be pessimistic, even tho they give me more than enough reason to
The owners are awful tho. The fact George Mccaskey has any say in anything to do with the team is laughable. Maybe when that old fossil dies and they have to sell off however much percentage of the team things will change

I disagree he could definitely start on the Titans, Giants, Panthers, Saints and other bottom feeder teams and be an improvement at the QB position. Is he "Superbowl material" ofc not. IMO There are only 8 Elite QB's in the league and (Allen, Burrow, Mahomes, Jackson, Goff, few others).

It's why every NFL season the last decade++ very few "random teams" make the Wild Card because all the teams with an elite QB make the playoffs. It's why teams are so hyper focused on obtaining/developing a young QB.

The other side of that coin is that teams with elite defenses compose the "other teams that make it" and usually one of those teams makes the Super bowl too.

I'm a Vikings fan and I would take Fields over Darnold/Daniel Jones/Mccarthy/Rypien but that's just me.

hey you're entitled to your opinion, only one I'd agree with there is Rypien (maybe Jones)

will be interesting to see what JJ can do next year, would be shocked if he's worse than JF tho

I've watched nearly every snap Fields has taken and theres no chance he should be a starter anywhere in the NFL, nevermind a backup in most. man he is not good.
Instantly panic scrambles and can't make more than 1 read. He's a good runner and can make some plays sometimes but thats the extent of it.

Don't forget the fumbles. He did a decent job of protecting the ball in Pittsburgh, but he'd still have at least 1-2 plays per game where he'd put the ball on the ground.

Wouldn't mind keeping him around as a backup or a change of pace guy to bring in with some wildcat packages, but his starts last year + his history in Chicago have made it clear he's not starter material.

Wasn't a fan of JJ tbh wanted the Vikings to get Drake Maye but we'll see how it pans out.

I didn't say he was good I said he could start on a bottom feeder team lol

Both Lions coordinators gone.

Why the league allows these guys to interview for their next coaching job during preparation for playoff games baffles me…

I cant believe we still have fields truthers. or bringing up college games for a guy who played all 17 games and beat our biggest rival at their house, leading a game winning drive with his passing game coordinator as his head coach. Odunze was a rookie wr #3, we still have dj moore. This was the only move that could get me excited for next season.
