Honest question: Having watched that performance, all the gushing aside, and seeing a clunky QB who runs but shouldn't, an offensive line that buckled to a substandard defense all too many times, and a defense that barely held a subpar offense, do you truly believe ND can beat Georgia? How about Oregon, who's solid Offensively and Defensively, not only faster than you, but bigger, as well?

It's interesting to watch homers be homers. But frankly, I'm not convinced anyone in that bracket can beat Boise State. So we'll see how it goes. For now, I'm more focused on whether my prediction or want is going to win out in this SMU/Penn State game. Still thinking SMU will win. Still rooting for Penn State.

If SMU can't shut down 44, they're in for a horrific beating. I thought it was obvious to literally everyone that 44 is the control point. SMU not looking great. Penn State not looking amazing either, but 44 keeps making plays. If SMU continues to allow that? Penn State wins. We shall see.

You aren't a fan of the sport. You're a homer. I was born in Corvallis, and spent many years in Eugene. I've competed in both cities when I was younger, in many sports. I treated all rivalry games as a neutral. Whoever is the better team, for that game, is who I wanted to win. And that persists to this day. Since moving to Arizona, I've adopted both major teams, and have fond thoughts for GCU. I lean towards the Arizona Wildcats because my wife is an alum, and she HATES the Sun Devils, who I am actively rooting for for the second round.

You claim that a person cannot cheer for rivals. I have family in both Eugene and Corvallis. I will root for my brothers before all others. And which of my brothers I will root for when they face each other? Whichever is better. You're ignorant of what a rivalry is, I think.

You know a lot about me after talking to me on a forum over about six responses. My dad took me to my first game when I was five. I’ve seen them play at every rival stadium they have multiple times, including five times at USC. Go back to your hole.
