Once Lamar realizes he won’t get a 5 year guaranteed contract the Colts should 100% pursue him. Irsay already said he doesn’t believe in guaranteed contracts. He will probably be a Raven next year if he doesn’t come back to reality

Personally wouldn’t want him in Indy knowing how bad our line is. And the fact that we don’t even have any targets for him besides Pittman & Jelani Woods if they ever use him like he can be used. No matter what you pay him, he’s going to get 40m/year minimum at this point. Too many other holes to fill to not draft a QB.

This years class is underwhelming aside from AR15s combine.. Either way we’re screwed. Either way we’re going to have to fill the gaps. Bringing in Lamar will force Irsay and Ballard to start taking risk, albeit Ballard might be the cheapest GM in the NFL. Excited for either direction and am just thankful we’re probably done with 35+ year old QBs for a while

Lamar is a decent thrower he isn't a run only QB. I am not surprised by the owners sticking together and not having conversations with him but it's nuts the excuses these owners have.

People keep talking about him as a runner but he isn't Kaepernick 2.0

Until we draft someone, our upper management worries me.
They found Manning and Luck, 2 generational QBs from the draft, then they just decided that they couldn’t possibly have that kind of luck again.

He’s utilizing his strengths sure but at the same time, his strength will eventually turn into his weakness. It’s okay to use your legs, don’t get me wrong. I just don’t think he’s going to get what he wants, and if he does then he better damn well prove he can be a pocket passer.

He’s a reasonable pocket passer right now.

Still not worth the risk involved. Has any QB of his playstyle gotten one of those contracts yet? I get the Deshaun thing, it’s the Browns. I just don’t see any team wanting to pay the guy a full guaranteed contract & 2 1st round picks.

Maybe I missed where he’s come out and said he’s only looking for a fully guaranteed contract. The Ravens were dicking around and lowballing him in guarantees until they offered him 1 reasonable contract which we have no clue on the details anyways.

The Ravens weren’t really lowballing if the following contracts were indeed offered

3 years, 130m fully guaranteed
OR
5 years, 250m, 133 fully guaranteed (and I think 175 guaranteed vs. injury?)

But Lamar seems to think he can get 5/250 fully guaranteed, so… pretty much the only option is for him to get humbled lol
