I think Stefanski is doing wonders with culture and respectability. Very similar to Zac Taylor. They are culture changers. I just think they put all of their eggs in the mayfield basket and its going to put them right back down if they aren't careful.
You're also disregarding the fact that the culture established by the HC and QB (who SHOULD be a leader not just a manager) effects both defense and special teams as well. The bengals defense has been absolute rock solid in the second half after adjustments. That takes the players wanting to win badly enough as well as the coaches to swallow pride and say hey this isn't working this game. Maybe lets do this the second half. You can see clearly how they adjust not only in the second half but its almost by series in the late game. Kansas City wasnt defeated twice just because of joe burrow, but he had a lot to do with it. Those guys WANT to be their best with him. Its like having a boss you really respect. Bring your a-game.
You can cry injury this and injury that but you're also forgetting that Burrow tore his ACL just over a year ago. Guys generally don't have good years immediately following something like that.
The ravens and the browns both had their STARTING QUARTERBACKS injured…I don’t think that’s really crying injury.
9-12 months for an ACL is pretty standard for an athlete with todays conditioning and modern medicine….it’s not affecting burrows play.
I agree with u about the players wanting to win. But I do think Burrow deserves all of the credit, and Zac Taylor deserves none of it. He was dogshit before burrow got there and saved his ass.
