Yea dude, Caldwell and co. have had two very good drafts so far.

Aaron Colvin is going to sit for probably the whole season. He'll sit for most of it for sure while he heals up from his ACL. That's ok though, considering we don't need him to play right away. He's a late 1st, early 2nd round talent.

Telvin Smith was a steal in the 5th round as well. He's undersized, but all he does is fly around and make plays. I'm really curious how they'll work him into the Defense. He's only like 218 pounds, but physical as fuck.

Chris Smith will be worked into the rotation with Clemons/Babin and Branch at the Leo.

Brandon Linder will most likely start right away at RG. There's such a gaping hole there.

Luke Bowanko will be behind Brewster, with every chance to steal the job from Brewster. Brewster will get first crack and it's his job to lose.

Storm will be worked into the mix. Gus said the main thing he needs to work on is his pass protection, but other than that he's good to go. I'd like to see him hold onto the ball a little better, but he's a beast.

I can't wait to see some 4 WR sets with Robinson/Lee/Shorts and Sanders. B)

Yup, it's hard to find anybody with anything bad to say about it really.

The more I think about it, I wouldn't mind them giving Colvin a legit look at FS next season. I think he could be that single high FS we need for our secondary. Guy and Evans aren't single high safeties. I'm all for one of them proving me wrong and stealing the job this year, but I think Colvin would fit very nicely there.

He (Colvin) has some experience at SS. Obviously we'll be asking him to do different things as the single high FS, but it's still some safety experience. He's a very aggressive, instinctive guy with good range and ball skills.

It was a really late 6th round pick (was the pick we got for Gabbert from the 49ers) and I guess he played a lot of Guard. They said he's more of a natural Center though. I'm sure he'll be competing for C and G.

Jaguars coach Gus Bradley felt a personal connection to Colvin following his injury. He made a bold proclamation to Colvin when he saw him at the NFL Scouting Combine in February.

“I had just walked by,” Colvin said. “I was on my way to go meet with the Giants, and he pulled me over to the side and he said, ‘We still love you. I’m going to come get you. You can bank on that.’ ”

All three of Colvin, Telvin Smith and Chris Smith were coached by Gus and crew at the Senior Bowl.
