Imo u guys have an at best average secondary, that gets made look good by an elite front.

Still think this holds true

But the Colts secondary isn't much better? Andre Johnson owns Vontae Davis. I wouldn't talk as a Colts fan about the Texans struggles.

Ill be the first to tell you that Colts have one of the bottom 10 defenses in the league. Just pointing that out as people believe Texans secondary is better than what it actually is.

I still think our defense fell apart when we lost our defensive captain Brian Cushing. He was the new team captain on defense, replacing DeMeco Ryan's leadership role. It's like the Packers without Clay Matthews. You take away a beast like that in the middle and the defense is just not the same. People forget all the talent we lost at inside linebacker.

Without one or two studs in the middle I don't see how a 3-4 defense can work. We may as well go back to a 4-3 with the LBs we have right now. Even worse, Brooks Reed left today's game. He came back too soon from that torn groin. We are so thin at linebacker it's sad really.

But the defense aside, I'm disappointed in the offense. It's been even more frustrating to watch.

The tough part is waiting another seven days. I've got to avoid hearing all the local sports-talk shows or else I'm going to go crazy.

yeah I understand what your saying, we have the same impact to a lesser extent with Pat Angerer and Kevin Connor. Chiefs had 300 yards against us rushing again due to missing Connor lol.

Who's to blame for the offense? I think you guys nee to pass more, with Andre still near the end of his prime. Often I see run/run/run or run/run/pass, but i havent watched too many full games.

I think it's Gary Kubiak's playcalling. He's become way too conservative and predictable. But the blame should also be placed on the offensive line. They are not as good as they were a year ago and that new-look right side is just not playing well. Matt Schaub is also struggling to move around in the pocket. He's a slow quarterback to begin with.

A lack of a dominating number two wideout is also starting to hurt us because Andre Johnson can't do it all. Kevin Walter is a solid pro but he's at best a number three on a Super Bowl contender. We needed either Lestar Jean, DeVier Posey or Keshawn Martin to step up as a legitimate two -- neither has done so despite having a lot of upside as young players.

I was still hoping he could pound the ball with Arian Foster and Ben Tate but Foster has been over-worked all season long and Ben Tate practically missed half the season with injury. But it seems like Tate is starting to get back into the flow of things. Hopefully Arian Foster's irregular heart beat is nothing that keeps him out of the next game.

The good news is Arian Foster is feeling fine. I guess things could have been worse.

Houston Chronicle: With the Texans looking nothing like a potential AFC title contender in their 23-6 loss vs. the Vikings, Houston had to play without one of the best running backs in the league.

As various reports stated, Arian Foster returned to the locker room in the third quarter with an illness and did not return. Coach Gary Kubiak revealed after the game that Foster was suffering from an irregular heartbeat.

Kubiak also said doctors told him Foster could return to the game, but Kubiak said he didn't want to risk it and he decided to go with backup running backs Ben Tate and Justin Forsett instead.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports that Foster told teammates and associates after the game that he is fine. The irregular heartbeat is not believed to be serious, and no further testing has been scheduled.

The Texans offense already struggled vs. the Vikings, so that diagnosis seems a little scary, and moving forward into the playoffs, now is not the time for Houston to lose one of its most important pieces.
