Danieal Manning fined $15,000 for the punch he threw at Newhouse. Report says he plans to appeal it based on a claim that he was trying to protect himself from injury. Lol

the commentators said that his knee was pinned down when he threw those punches

e/ you guys should pay for that fine for him since it gave yall a free TD instead of a FG.

Right, but there's a right and wrong way to handle that. It's not like Newhouse was holding him down, it was in the middle of a pile. You don't start throwing punches because you're at the bottom of a pile in an awkward position.

dont disagree with you. it was dumb, but rather him be healthy than get hurt because he was in a pile.

I hold no grudge towards him. Like you said, he allowed the drive to result in a touchdown instead of a field goal. Maybe I should send him a thank you card.

House and Hayward aren't nearly as good as Shields. And while Jennings hasn't been around, that doesn't mean his presence doesn't make a huge difference. I'm still not convinced Jones can be consistent. As for Raji, he's one of the best in the league, so I'm not sure what you're talking about...

Besides, the point of my post was less "Panic about backups" and more "concerned with injuries starting to pile up."

I wasn't implying you did. Just saying, the strides he's made have put him well ahead of H&H in my eyes. He looks even better when you don't discredit him for the 3 phantom PIs.

Again, not really concerned with backups playing, as much as getting heavy on the injury report this early on. I'll always have faith in MM and TT to develop players well, and we know they're firm believers in the "Next man up" mantra, but it's of course concerning to see the studs going down. Makes me want to label Sunday a trap game, similar to Indy.
