I see. Teddy or nothing in the first round huh?
Great signing with Bryant. Gus knows him well enough and he should do fine.
I'm at the point where it's Teddy, Clowney, or if they're both gone at #3, then I hope we trade down. Besides Teddy and Clowney, I think the only way we get the best value at #3 is trading down for more picks.
I love Barr, but he's so raw that it's going to take him a couple years to fully develop. You don't really take guys that high, who still need to be fully developed.
I like Mack, but #3 is too high for us imo. If we ran a base 3-4 front, I'd be all over him as our Rush OLB (He's an ideal fit for Texans #1 though). But since we run a hybrid 4-3 front, I'm not really sure exactly where we'd play him. Would we use him as just our LEO and have him line up on the line? Would we draft him to be our SAM backer? #3 overall is way too high for a SAM. Would he be the SAM for the majority, but switch to the LEO on obvious Pass Rushing situations?
We're not going to take a RT that high.
Ebron is a reach at #3.
I guess we could go Watkins, but WR isn't a pressing need and with how deep this WR class is we can get somebody much later.
Corner would be a reach at #3 imo.
Actually the more I think about it, I wouldn't have a problem with Watkins at #3 if Teddy, Clowney are gone and we couldn't get a real good offer to trade down. Blackmon, Shorts, Watkins and Ace Sanders would be a pretty damn nice line up.
