So our Coaching staff is coaching the South team during the Senior Bowl and it's stacked with a bunch of very talented players. We have by far the 3 best QBs in the Senior Bowl in Garoppolo, Carr and Fales. The North team has Stephen Morris, Logan Thomas and Tajh Boyd as their QBs.

We also got Christian Jones, Kyle Van Noy, Jeremiah Attaochu, Will Sutton, Cody Hoffman and Jordan Matthews as some of the other very notable players.

We very well could get our LEO or QB from this Senior Bowl. Hoffman or Matthews could be that bigger outside WR we lack, 6'3+ 205+.

Your coaching staff is completely outperforming Mike Smith, if you feel like reveling in that little victory.

Although South has more talent, mainly at the QB position.

I think the South team had way more talent overall. Much better QBs and the Defense was stacked. The talent in the front 7 was ridiculous for the South.

If we're somehow lucky enough to have Bridgewater fall to 3, I would love if Dee Ford was still there at our 2nd round pick. Doubtful he lasts that long though.

If we go with Defense at 3, Barr is still my 1st choice. Wouldn't have a problem with Clowney either of course. With our 2nd round pick, I'd love if Garoppolo was still there.

So there was a Season Ticket Holders fan forum today and here are some interesting things to come from it...

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 4h
“We feel like we have the right guy in Joeckel to protect our quarterback. Whoever that might be.” -Caldwell

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 4h
“We’ve gotta find (D-Rob) a position. He’s too fast.” Tried slot receiver first, “that didn’t work.” Thinks RB is spot. “He has juice”

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 4h
“He’s a work in progress, but he’s not a bust, I can tell you that.” -Caldwell on Robinson

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 4h
“We traded Eugene Monroe…what’s his name? Mid season…and Frenchie(Pasztor) did a great job for us.” Word for word, with some salt.

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 3h
“We want a bigger pass catching tight end.” Says Dave, not one of the smaller guys popular among the league.

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 3h
“Anticipation, decision making and accuracy.” Dave on what he looks for in a QB. Says spread systems don’t show this enough in college.

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 3h
I asked the Teddy question. Dave said he has 3 attributes he mentioned earlier, bit light in frame to withstand 16 games. Viable prospect.

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 3h
Dave said because Teddy is a junior, they haven’t been able to speak with him yet. Need to see what “makes him tick.”

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 3h
Caldwell says they may see a role for Jacques McClendon at center moving forward.

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 3h
Free Agency strategy is to find bridge players that can play as rookies develop instead of forcing rookies into action like last year.

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 3h
“There’s a little bit of gray area” re: starter next season at QB “he COULD be on the roster right now” -Caldwell

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 3h
I asked Gus what attributes a QB needs for Jedd’s system. Says Jedd’s versatility is a key reason he brought him in at OC.

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 3h
Gus said we saw a bit of that this season with the change to Chad’s strengths. Says Jedd will evolve offense based on where they go at QB.

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 3h
Blackmon is “very talented” said Gus. “Loved his spirit and competitiveness and what he was about on the field.”

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 3h
“We talked about him getting better OFF the field and we saw some things to that effect but obviously not enough quickly enough.”

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 3h
“We hear he IS getting better and want that for him whether or not he returns to football”

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 3h
Gus said player who surprised him most might be Babin. “He became one of our strongest leaders.” Cites MJD as a great ex. to young players.

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 3h
Caldwell says “still in discussions” about Babin’s role moving forward with coaching staff but would like to have him back.

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 3h
Pocket passer or dynamic, moving QB? “For sustainability, #1 thing is to win with their arm. Pocket passer + some mobility ideal.” -Dave

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 3h
Caldwell says they’ll look to address center in free agency and draft.

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 3h
On Blaine’s future: “We’d like him to come back to compete.” -Dave. Says he was set back by lockout and the tumult that occurred here.

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 3h
Caldwell says it’s his fault they rushed him back from his thumb. “If he’s a backup, he’s a backup. If he surprises us all, so be it.”

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 4h
“There is a possibility of trading up. Chances are #1 is not available. To get to 2, my good friend Les Snead is GM of the Rams.”

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 4h
Caldwell says he’d expect the price to move from 3 to to 2 would likely be a 3rd or 4th round pick “depending on demand”

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 4h
News of the night to me was the way Dave spoke about the 2nd overall pick. I get the impression that conversation has already happened.

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 4h
The fix is in. RT @AlfieBCC: Caldwell, Snead and Dimitroff had dinner in Mobile. I know they’re all buddies, but just sayin’.

Casey Ayers ‏@caseyayers 4h
@Kevin_Hine we go to number two for Teddy, Rams trade back again with Falcons to get Clowney. Les is more.

The last couple were just for something to ponder at, but it definitely would make some sense. Everybody would win, Jags, Falcons and Rams.

Please o Please let the Texans be stupid enough to pass on Bridgewater.

Ryan O'Halloran ‏@ryanohalloran
Per source, #jaguars hire Robert Saleh as linebackers coach and Scottie Hazelton as assistant linebackers coach.

Ryan O'Halloran ‏@ryanohalloran
Saleh was previously Seattle quality control-defense and Hazelton was defensive coordinator at Nevada. #Jaguars
