ETA: Yes I know its a freeroll but its still a season long investment of time on the participant's part. If you are going to have a non-standard format you should say so in the rules. Same reason you say things like half pt ppr, 3 man bench, IR spots, ETC

In general I’m a fan of small playoff pools. I’ve been in 12 man leagues where 6 teams go. Really devalues the regular season entirely.

I don’t like how reliant fantasy football is on the last 2-3 weeks of the NFL season. Good teams can easily get shafted because of injury or matchup. Just like good teams at the 5 spot in our league is getting shafted.

There is no perfect answer. Do the best you can and have fun doing so.
