I completely agree, we have no "voice" to say in our defense. We have no hard nose leader. Wilfork is the closest, but he isn't exactly the leader type we need in the locker room.
With the youth and talent we have in defense he makes sense to be a perfect fit, I really hope we sign him. I would give Welker up to get Reed. Not sure we can afford both.

Just restructured Bradys contract, most likely in order to keep Welker.

Word is Patriots haven't thrown an offer at Welker wait.
