What kind of a "punishment" is that?

Like that "punishment" helps prevent future welchers...if anything it encourages welching. "Oh, if you welch, you can still bet! Just send your fg upfront to a trusted user; don't worry, you will get your fg!"

kinda common sense i am taking what helps me more

it isn't worth arguing with these people, they wont understand that it is better to have 1 honest dollar then 2 un-honest ones. they just look at the 2 dollars with open eyes.
