Pretty happy with Mack, too. One of the three big players available in the draft. Would've liked Watkins more, but I'm pleased with what we got, and thankful about what we didn't get xD

Day 2 we need to look long and hard at a WR. We have a lot of needs--QB, CB, S, DT to name a few--but WR is still up there, and this is supposed to be a great draft for WR (and DBs as well). As long as we address QB, DB, WR in some form this draft, I think I'll be happy. If we don't get a QB, then we REALLY need one next season.

I really like the Mack pick. Somebody like Mack who plays a position like that can make a big impact on their own pretty much. If we drafted Watkins and Schaub doesn't pan out as well as we hoped, then Watkins starts to look like not that great of a pick, his production and numbers will be low and thats when everyone starts questioning him. Until we have a proven franchise QB I would stay away from drafting the big name receiver with our 1st rd pick. We need guys who will do good on their own and Mack looks to be that guy, I hope! Lets hope for an instant impact! At least this is how I look at it..

Idk mane I think schaub is gonna need an Andre like target. Dont think we have a H-W-S receiver like him on our roster.

true but this draft is so deep at WR we can still get a good one. Just didn't want to pick one with our 1st rd pick is all. But i do agree we need a good WR

Watkins was the only one worth the 5th pick

yea and he was gone so im glad we got Mack.

I think we should look at Jordan Matthews. I can't believe he didn't go in round 1. I know that Carr is a sexy pick at 36, but I think you've gotta take Matthews there.

character issues and having a limited ceiling likely kept him out of round 1. similar to Lee having a case of the dropsies kept him from being chosen by the panthers who literally have no one to throw to

If anything, Lee has the worse character between the two. Lee is so full of himself. And the panthers reaching for someone doesn't really validate/invalidate a player for me.
