I feel like that's how the entire souls series is including Bloodborne. You go through this grind to beat the game and all you get is a shitty cut scene that doesn't give you anything and then the game says good job now play the game again but we're making it harder and more annoying because fuck you. The only way to really get anything out of the games is to search for every little item and read their descriptions so you get all of the lore.
