That's a really decent signing, Nicks can do fairly well with Brees.

Ryan Fitzpatrick had a career year last season. He was always serviceable for every team he had played for previously. Good for him but what about Geno Smith? Is it safe to call him a bust already? That young guy can't seem to catch any breaks. I remember when he was drafted some people were calling him a special talent. Now Geno Smith is a punch line around the league. No pun intended.

I wouldn't say bust, but he definitely hasn't progressed well. Fitzpatrick is definitely the more reliable option and they at least have another year to try to work out something bigger.

He's less of a bust than Jadeveon Clowney if that makes you feel any better.

Ryan Fitzpatrick has never led a team to the playoffs as a starting quarterback.
The Jets were wise not to invest long term into him. The stats can be deceiving sometimes.
