nice to see the ravens finally addressing the qb position - that was a glaring need

I actually wanted the Texans to draft Zach Mettenberger in the second or third round at one point about a month ago. He had an amazing showing at the LSU pro day putting to rest any concerns about his ACL rehab. He was zipping tight spirals all over the field - looking like Dan Marino out there - but that was before news broke about his bad back and failed urine sample at the NFL combine. His trainer mentioned it was just from drinking too much water so who knows.

I want to see how he handles the first major blindside hit he takes in the NFL. If he can pop right back up off the turf then there is nothing to worry about with his health, back or knees. The thing we have to remember is Ben Roethlisberger is arguably one of the toughest quarterbacks in the NFL. Nobody has ever questioned his toughness or durability.

Zach Mettenberger is a nice pick for the Titans in the sixth round. The value is hard to argue against. A first-round talent if he had no health concerns.

I just don't see how he fits Romeo Crennel's defense. If only he were 35 or 40 pounds bigger with a quicker 40-time.

6'7 and 313 out of Portland State. Could be a nice project offensive tackle for the Rams. Either that or he'll be out of the league in a few years.
