Hey everyone. This is my first post here and I’m sorry if this gets long winded. I’ve known John since I was 16. Was standing up in his wedding in a few weeks. This weekend was actually supposed to be the bachelor party. He tried multiple times over the years to get me onto this site and I never really got into the whole community and commenting thing. We had a beautiful ceremony tonight for J4 surrounded by friends and family. I was laying here in bed and looking for this site and couldn’t remember what it was called, only that his user name was cheesehead. I did some googling and here we are. He was my best friend and my brother and it’s so great to see all of your comments and some of your donations. Two years ago, we started a tradition of going to a football game every year with two of our other friends. We had planned to hit all 32 stadiums together. Never thought we’d only make it to one. The three of us are planning on continuing this tradition and making stops at the rest of the NFL stadiums. This year our game was going to be Minnesota vs Green Bay in MN. If anyone wants meet up, has questions or just talk about John, let me know. He was amazing in so many ways and I’ll always be forever grateful for the time we had. I’m sorry it took me so long to join and that this was my first post. I’ll never be able to be as active as him or involved in so many of your lives but I appreciate all the time you all took for him. And while I will miss bantering with him about my sports bet locks for the week, I am going to keep the tradition going. Every year we’d make 3 bets about the packers, all over unders. One was always a record bet, one was an offensive prediction, and one was a defensive prediction and we’d bet a case of beer on each one. He always got the better of me but I loved do it. I encourage you all to do it with a buddy. Sorry for the long winded post but I figured some of you might like to hear that John’s memory is being carried on and his spirit is always with us. Go Pack Go
Thanks for coming on here man. It means a lot that someone from his real life would take the time to share with us. We all deeply cared for him, and this place will never be the same without him.
