Yeah he would get those calls 99% of the time but any other qb it's nothing
Is it just Patrick Mahomes that can get those late hits for 'roughing the passer' penalties or are there a couple other quarterbacks that can consistently get them? I understand that C.J. Stroud is often pressured with poor pass protection. And a lot of times he's just looking to get rid of the football. But last night with just over 9 minutes left in the game. A Seahawks defender just blasted Stroud to the ground a good 1.5 seconds after Stroud had thrown the ball already.
Clearly was a late hit worthy of a penalty flag. But Stroud rarely gets them called. But you can bet if it's precious Patrick Mahomes the officials will take care of him and throw the penalty flag every single time whenever that happens. Meanwhile Azeez Al-Shaair is trying to finish a textbook tackle on Sam Darnold that started in bounds. Just so happens to have ended out of bounds. And of course that's a 15-yard personal foul for just playing some football. Sam Darnold is 6'3 and 225. You need to apply some force to bring him down. Am I right or wrong?
