Tate is at that age where he should be the one doing the mentoring lol.

Seems like the Lions don't have anyone to stretch the field with that WR corps, unless they use Jones like V.Jax and just let him fight for deep balls.

he has been, but there's always more to learn. just saying q has a lot of experience that he can share with our relatively young wr corps. he shouldn't be counted on to do too much but will still be able to contribute on the field.


i think jones can stretch the field, he's not the fastest receiver in the league but he's a big body who can definitely be a down field/end zone threat

/e: our line will hopefully be good enough this year to actually allow stafford time in the pocket to throw down field.


any way you slice it we're going to miss megatron, but we aren't going into the season as deep in the hole as i thought we'd be. i honestly think we could win 8-9 games this season, maybe 10, but that might be a little too optimistic.

Tate is bearly going into his first year trying to fill the mentor CJ role, but Boldin is a locker room champ and I dont doubt him kinda sliding in.

I think Boldin + MJ are gonna be our deep threats. We don't need them as much though, I think we're gonna be more short passes and seeing what our receivers can do. This off season has been pure balancing the offense.

A solid WR core that's not just CJ + Tate
A better offensive line (I hope) which means improving the leagues worse rushing attack
A full year with the cooter scooter

Maybe it'll be good enough to fill the void left by CJ
