So dreamhack is in Austin next month and I reserved a BYOC seat for the duration. Only problem? My laptop is NOT made for playing games...sooooo, it's time to build my first gaming pc.

Where do you guys buy your parts?

Budget is ~ $600 if anyone has recommendations.

I recommend spending a little more than 600.... especially if you need a OS and screen

About this

How gfx intensive are your games

Do you care about playing at min settings

I think you can get away with 600 if you already have all the essentials

People still pay for their OS? I've already got a monitor I can use.

$600 won't be enough for a mid tier build?

I want to play new games on their normal settings. Think games like the new doom, dirty bomb, PoE, that type of thing.

/e and overwatch.

On normal I doubt 600 would get there, or wouldn't stay there long.

Is poe more gfx intensive than doom? Poe isn't that intense is it?
