Wow this is what happens when i get tired... Literally not what i meant
LOL, I know you made a mistake. We've still got a lot of tough games left. The Bears and Patriots on the road, the Lions on the road on Thanksgiving morning and the two remaining games versus Colts late in the season. We're talking about potential playoff teams on all of them.
I still think the Lions will make a run at the final wild-card spot in the NFC and overtake teams like the Vikings, Eagles and Cowboys. Also the home game against the Vikings could be a decent challenge if they ever find a passing game on offense. We should be able to "zero in" on Adrian Peterson and slow him down. Not even sure I really see an easy game left on the Texans final eight games -- Jaguars and Titans maybe?
I bolded the only three home games we have left. A tough three-week road stretch is coming up soon. We're also 0-10 all time at Indianapolis. So that last game of the season could be tough, but I'm not too worried if they are resting players, possibly already clinched the 1st seed in the AFC before then.

I think we need to finish 6-2 to win the 1st seed in the AFC. Maybe 5-3 if we beat the Patriots and own any potential tiebreakers. Going undefeated in the AFC would obviously put them in great shape. Houston already beat Denver and Baltimore so that's huge.
If they can beat New England they'll have all the major tiebreakers. 12-4 may be enough in that scenario. The Houston Texans will have to become the ultimate road team if they expect to get it done for the 1st seed in the AFC Playoffs.
