Whitney Mercilus sealed the deal with that nice hit on Fitzpatrick to force the game-ending fumble. Buffalo had too much life for most of the game.

The Texans played poorly today and still won 21-9. I'll take it because no injuries and J.J. Watt had another sack.

Mario Williams regrets leaving Houston. He could be playing on a winner instead of stuck in Buffalo.

Arian Foster had 24 carries, 111 rushing yards and 1 TD. Easily his second or third best game of the season. He leads the NFL in TDs but he hasn't really had a monster game yet. He needs to produce against a good Chicago defense next Sunday.

7-1 Texans at 7-1 Bears next Sunday Night on NBC. It could be the game of the year. The loser of this game will be called overrated.

Texans getting points at Chicago

The Vegas oddsmakers just placed the Bears -1.5 at home against the Texans next Sunday Night on NBC. Two 7-1 teams. This is the first time all season the Texans have been underdogs going into a game. It feels strange and a reality check at the same time.

But this was just the early spread. It could easily change throughout the week. I think it's important for the Texans to get Ben Tate back. The Bears defense is so good against the run that Houston needs their best power rush game (1-2 punch of Foster and Tate) to have any success on the ground. I'm a little nervous about this game because the Bears have plenty of study film on the Texans and they surely will have a good gameplan.

All the Bears defense has to do is emulate what the Packers, Jets and Bills defenses did to the Texans. Those were our three worst offensive performances of the season as well as fewest points scored. Hopefully Jay Cutler doesn't tear us apart with 6 TD passes like Aaron Rodgers did. Johnathan Joseph's groin is much better but he hurt his wrist today.

Until the Texans can beat a good NFC team people will continue to call the NFC the best conference in the NFL and rightfully so.

This game is going to come down to how good the Texans defense plays. Bulls on Parade! It's on them because I see a very low-scoring defensive battle.

The Bears offensive line versus the Texans front seven: That's going to be interesting to watch. It will likely dictate who wins the game.

Don't bet on this game please. I have a feeling the Texans will go from +1 to +3 by the end of the week. I'll gladly put 10k on that spread.

I only bet on the Texans one time this season and gave up 4:1 odds. A 100 vs. 25 bet Week 1 that I won on Texans straight up against Miami. I'm not betting on them ever again. I want to see them reach Super Bowl 47. If they can win the 1st seed in the AFC then all they'll have to do is win two home playoff games. And if they do make it to the Superdome, at least they only have to face one elite team from the NFC. The NFC has so many strong teams.

BigBalluh, it wouldn't shock me if the Bears are -3.5 by game time. A lot of people are already picking them at home over Houston.

Bears game is going to come down to turnovers. Bears win with forcing TOs, and are the best at it. We've only had 6 TOs, best in the league.

I've seen the Bears offensive line getting beat when facing a strong pass rush. I'm hoping Wade Phillips can take advantage of that. Putting pressure on Jay Cutler all game long. It would be nice if the Texans can get an early lead so that Chicago will start to pass a lot more. If the Bears have the lead and are pounding it away with Matt Forte then I'm going to be nervous. Forte had a good game today against the Titans.

i'm not worry about their offense, when the texans defense is at their best, they can shut anyone down. more worried about our offense matchup vs their defense. foster may not get more than 50+ rushing yards in this game, our oline was pathetic today.

It's going to be important to have Ben Tate back for this game. I think he'll be ready to go. We should know by Wednesday or Thursday.
