I hope denard gets a chance at qb for y'all. Will be a fun team to watch with all that speed. IMO he fits the system well with MJD Cecil and Blackmon (Speed).

He didn't line up at QB once yesterday. He is not being groomed as a QB and wont be. Now he might have a chance at possibly throwing it, if he goes in on some wildcat plays, if there's any. From what I heard, he lined up at mainly RB, WR and FB yesterday. Then caught some Kicks at the end of practice.

lol.  Too bad looking good and playing good in-game are two entirely different things.

Jags went out on a limb taking Denard.  He's too small and not nearly fast enough for the NFL.

I'll be shocked if Denard is in the league longer than Tebow.

Lol. I don't like the Denard pick, but he is actually bigger then people think. He's 5'11 196 lbs. He could add another 10 pounds to his frame easy. Ace Sanders and Tavon Austin are 5'7 175 lbs.... Now if you want to call somebody too small, they you can call too small. And about his speed, 4.3 speed is not nearly fast enough for the NFL? wat

Johnathan Cyprien stands out for Jacksonville Jaguars

    By Chris Wesseling

Surprised that Johnathan Cyprien was still on the board, Jacksonville Jaguars general manager David Caldwell reportedly turned down three trade offers and opted to select the Florida International safety with the first pick of the 2013 NFL Draft's second round.

If the start of the Jaguars' rookie minicamp is any indication, Caldwell made a wise choice. Cyprien wasn't just a standout Friday. He was a "man among boys," noted Mark Long of The Associated Press.

Cyprien's speed, athleticism, ball skills, range and instincts were on full display.

"That was one guy who really showed up in my eyes," Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said. "Not only is he playing, but we're watching if they can handle the tempo of practice and the style we're asking. He did a good job leading, too. I was very pleased with his start."

NFL Films senior producer Greg Cosell told the "Rich Eisen Podcast" in March that Cyprien had a strong case to be the first safety drafted this year.

"This kid is really athletic," Cosell explained. "When I watched him, I couldn't believe that he was 220 pounds and the way he moved. He had an interception against Louisville that was just unbelievable. He came from the middle of the field all the way to the sideline. For a second, it looked like Ed Reed."

Caldwell drafted Cyprien to be a plug-and-play starter as a rookie. That might be setting the bar too low. Don't be surprised if Cyprien is the Jaguars' premier defensive player in 2013.

I'm so glad he didn't trade this pick with Cyprien still on the board. Caldwell knows what he is doing. Caldwell and Bradley are going to turn this team and Franchise around. I have a feeling we're going to be turning some heads this year. B)

I like the Ed Reed name drop. If Cyprien even has half the career Reed does, I'll be one happy sum bitch. And that INT he is talking about in that Louisville game was beautiful.

Jacksonville Jaguars general manager David Caldwell has made it clear that the team has no interest in signing free agent quarterback Tim Tebow.

Caldwell's reluctance to sign the Jacksonville-native has led one Jaguars fan to do what any normal person would do in this situation: petition the president of the United States.

As of April 30, there's an official petition on the White House's 'We the People' website asking President Obama to call Caldwell and tell him to sign Tebow.

Here's the full petition:

Jacksonville Jaguars fans want the team to sign recently released QB Tim Tebow. However, rookie general manager for the Jacksonville Jaguars David Caldwell is blocking this from happening. If the Jaguars sign & START Tebow, home games will be sold out, sales will spike, the team will win and the fans will be happy.Mr. Caldwell is ignoring lots of facts about the misunderstood Tim Tebow while in Denver: Passer rating of 125.6 is highest ever in Broncos postseason history. Most yards per completion (31.6) in NFL playoff history.100.5 QB rating is best ever for a Broncos QB in his first start.Third most passing yards in a game by a Bronco rookie QB. (308, in his 2nd start), First 15+ point comeback in the final 3 minutes of an NFL game since the merger,7 game winning drives in just 16 games!

The 'We the People' website is a forum set up so that every American's voice can be heard. If any petition on the site meets the required-signtaure threshold, it will be reviewed by the Obama administration and they'll eventually issue a response. The Tebow petition needs to collect 100,000 signatures by May 30.

This isn't the first sports-related petition to show up on the White House website.

In January, there was a petition that asked the administration to make the day after the Super Bowl a federal holiday. That petition failed. Also in January, there was a petition that asked the president to force Marlins owner Jeff Loria to sell the team. That ended up getting taken down.

Will the Tebow petition get enough signatures? It's hard to say, but it does support job creation, which every American can get behind, right?

CB Antwaun Molden cut to make room for Trufant. At 32 he's just about done. He can bring some Veteran Leadership to the CB position, but not sure how much else he'll bring. Guess we'll find out.
