I'm not really certain how this all started.

My understanding is that a couple teams inquired about his availability last year, and like any GM should, Douglas listened to the offer. However, the GM was not actively shopping Adams, so I don't see why someone would take this personally.

It leads me to believe that either A) We don't know everything about why he's upset, B) Adams doesn't understand the difference between people calling the GM and the GM calling other people, and/or C) He's just trying to force their hand because the Jets have sucked and he wants to play for a winner.

The salary issue seems kind of bogus at this point, given that he's willing to wait for an extension with the team who receives his contract in a trade. It seems more likely that it was just a threat he made in order to engineer his way out of NY.

Honestly if I was the Jets I'd just wait him out.

Option C, for sure. I think the Jets would be wise to wait him out. His teammates have to be on to his shtick. You can't be "rah rah team" one minute and turn around and say some shit the second. His teammates have to be wise to that two face nature. He strikes me as very immature and entitled. He is 24 though so plenty of growing up ahead of him. I wish the Jets locker room was strong enough to reign him in.
