Remember when the refs gave the game to the Saints and they still lost?

Yeah, me too.

In all honesty, when watching the preseason games I thought Cobb looked like crap and needed a lot of work on routes and just running in general but I was SUPER impressed with his performance tonight and was shocked how well he did. I hope he can continue to play like this and if he does, easily the rookie of the year.

I'm trying to stay as modest as possible as a fan personally :) Take it week by week, not multiple weeks at a time. Loved the game tonight and the show, was awesome to watch!

Saints' defense last year:

4th best versus the pass and 19th against the run.

Not bad.

I'm already sick of all the hype because of last night's game.

The Packers aren't exceedingly better than they were last season - they're healthy. This is what the offense looks like when everybody is in and a scrub corner is playing on Jennings. James Jones didn't even need to get involved last night.

The love for Cobb is great, and we all knew he'd be something special. But people need to realize he fucked up on both of his touchdowns. He wasn't supposed to take the kickoff out of the endzone and he got lucky that he managed to stay up - his speed did the rest. On his TD reception, he ran the wrong route and Rodgers was able to get the ball to him anyway.

The pass defense was atrocious. Brees shredded them on 3rd down. Should have never been a game, but the Packers D let them convert over and over and over. That needs to change or we're in for a long season.

I agree about the hype part but you have to remember it's the first game of the season. Mistakes are going to happen and they did, but just enjoy the win. It's on to next week. However, I wish people would stop saying Packers are already 4-0 and talking shit. Be modest people, Packers are 1-0, not 16-0. Go Pack Go! Can't wait for next week already, but I'm worried about our run defense considering we play a pure running team with a running quarter back. It will be a true test to see where the defense is and how it holds up. It won't be an easy game by any means. I understand its the panthers but their running game is still explosive.
