Off the top of my head, I believe Brady's salary cap hit is not "friendly" in 2018, (this year & next it is low, so you can bet he will be here through the 2017 season). So come 2018 he will either be restructured, traded or cut. Jimmy G on the other hand is only through contract until 2018, he's set to make chump change compared to Brady so we may have to pay him alot more if we want to keep him around is my guess, not quite sure what will happen tho

Ya, I didn't think he'd be cheap. I'm hoping the Patriots mentality has rubbed off on him enough and he'll take a lower salary in order to play for a contender in his early years. It's the smarter move in the long run, he can get paid a decent amount for NE and if he puts together some winning seasons he can sign his next contract for a shit ton with some random bottom-feeder team.

My prediction on Jimmy.
he will play some more games next year. do solid.
]get traded for next to nothing.
because thats the patriots way

It's been the right call in the past. I know that most of NE's success is due to the BB system, but we still realllllly need to start looking at who's going to be our next franchise QB. Jimmy is the best out of all the randoms so far.`

Lol, love the optimism, but even the GOAT has to fade into obscurity at some point.

As soon as you refuse to except that, rooting for the Patriots becomes 100x more fun

i think brisket can manage the game this thursday just fine. only worried about careless mistakes since he's mobile in the pocket (ie forced throws and poor call protection

i don't want to look to deep into his performance the other day because he came in cold and had an adjusted game plan obviously. it will be very tough on 3 days to prep for a tough D like texans. but with how blount is playing it'll be a smash mouth game, we just gotta keep him healthy for cold weather games. it's scary seeing the big man hurdle dudes, but so rewarding at the same time lol. expect our secondary to face its toughest test as of yet. coleman is looking really good , except i think he got burned for an easy TD in the 3rd, maybe it was somebody else though. i think we are in good shape despite our setbacks. honestly we should keep gronk out another week unless he's totes mcgotes a fuzzy ball of oozing health.

as much as i hate to say it i don't think jimmy g will be brady's successor. as much as i like the kid, like a bunch of you already said, he will be traded away for chump change draft picks. probably a 3rd at best and a few 5/6s.

I bet we get something good for him.

I'd rather him not have to sit for 4 years until Brady retires

Jimmy G should ride the bench until Brady retires, we would be forever grateful to him for that
