Congrats man.

So how bad is the snow in Michigan...? I mean, I'd be in the city, so I assume they at least tend those roads decently well, right..?

I suppose I should be more worried about the sidewalks  My subaru can handle the snow pretty well.

Serious and interesting question. Is it hard for you to drive and move from car to wheelchair? I've always wondered how that goes about.

I got that Nest thermostat...installed it yesterday morning and its pretty cool...just curious to see the difference if any in a few months. Very intrigued for the summer months too when my elec bill was up to like $140.

Being able to control it from here at work via my iPhone is cool as hell too.

Not really. I just transfer in/out using a wooden board, and I kind of only use it just to be safe, since I can transfer without it. My seat is 100% power adjustments, so no need to manually move the seat, that would suck.

Of course that's just my car (a Subaru). Getting into a big truck/SUV is a different story. I tend to transfer to the floor of my dad's truck and then lift myself onto the seat.

I've been meaning to make a how-to video for breaking down a wheelchair and putting it into the passenger's seat for youtube

So you have the strength to lift yourself and the like, just have a hard time forming a grip and that stuff?

That's right.

My triceps are unaffected, just my fingers.

Congrats buzzinina.

For anyone who uses excel or is interested in a business field: https://openeducation.blackboard.com/mooc-catalog/courseDetails/view?course_id=_219_1, this is an online course teaching VBA Programming.

I have no idea how much you will actually learn, but I enrolled in it because if I could learn basic VBA... my life is going to be so much easier going forward rolf

It can be bad the day of a snow, but the city and campus have their own snow removal services. It shouldn't be a problem at all. Also lansing is far enough inland from lake michigan that it rarely gets lake effect snow like we do here on the lakeshore.
Drew (tears-) lives in East Lansing he can probably tell you more specifically about the city snow removal.
