I see where you're going but the lull is also a good opportunity to get an easy playoff spot, again.I haven't seen anything Qb prospect wise lately that impresses me enough to build a team around at the QB position and our current offense is structured around Rodgers. I'm not saying love may not be able to perform down the road, but he won't be able to plug into Aaron's position and have success. You can have an ultra talented team but if you have a shit quarterback, the limitations are more severe than a bad football team with a good quarterback in todays game IMO. Given the talent at the wide receiver position in the draft, do what you can to retain Tae, Keep Rodgers and get another guy that can consistently win in single coverage. Personally i'd like to see them move up to get olave given his route running and football IQ. A tight end that can catch could probably help, too. I love Bobby but he's had his best year in his career already.
For this part, our team is as good as it has ever been from front to back. We don't need a new prospect YET. All we need to do is bring in a role player that wont lose us the game (best example off the dome: like garrapolo or Carr) (if the price is right) for a few years while we use the capital from trading rodgers to actually find his replacement and bolster the weak spots. We would have to do what you suggested regarding WR and TE but legit we are stacked everywhere else. This is the type of team that can win with a system QB running the show. Of course Rodgers is our best chance at a superbowl but is he really? 10+ years since. With this idea I bet we would win the division the next 2 years
