He basically said he's waiting to see what they do with davante. Made it sound like he's only coming back if he is.

He's only coming back if Adams comes back and it's highly likely Adams askes to leave if Rodgers leaves.


Packers will tag Adams, it would be a major mistake not too. Whether they trade him, sign to a multi year deal, or he plays on the tag that is likely going to take time to iron out.

=They apparently haven't talked to him yet about a deal so I don't think anything will be known for a bit other than he is tagged and Rodgers will have to make a decision in the next 2 weeks at the latest.

Like I've been saying since last year, time to move on from rodgers and then likely, also, (and sadly) move on from adams. We can set up our team for the next 10 years with the haul we could get from trading those two. And as dumb as gute has been with our current player personnel, and aside from taking love (jury still out on him imo), his acquisition record has been pretty solid. Campbell Dillon Douglas stokes etc etc.

The reason I'm so adamant about moving on is because the rest of our division is still in the tanks and right now seems like a good time for a rebuild/retool if we want to stay on top of the division.

And plus Rodgers hasn't been able to win big games in the post season in over 10 years

I see where you're going but the lull is also a good opportunity to get an easy playoff spot, again. I haven't seen anything Qb prospect wise lately that impresses me enough to build a team around at the QB position and our current offense is structured around Rodgers. I'm not saying love may not be able to perform down the road, but he won't be able to plug into Aaron's position and have success. You can have an ultra talented team but if you have a shit quarterback, the limitations are more severe than a bad football team with a good quarterback in todays game IMO. Given the talent at the wide receiver position in the draft, do what you can to retain Tae, Keep Rodgers and get another guy that can consistently win in single coverage. Personally i'd like to see them move up to get olave given his route running and football IQ. A tight end that can catch could probably help, too. I love Bobby but he's had his best year in his career already.

We've had this conversation before when you called Amari rodgers a true #2 for 2021, 99% of the time a rookie WR doesn't bring enough production for your team to make a difference. We need to bring in a FA if we want to do that but do we really need to? Amari rodgers is in year 2 so I really expect him to step it up a level for us. The combo of him mvs and lazard we really don't need anyone else there. And if tonyan can recover we are fine there as well. This is assuming rodgers stays of course. If we end up trading him then yea I agree we need to upgrade at those positions.
