J.J. Watt needs 13.5 sacks in his final 10 games to break Strahan's single-season record of 22.5. If he can sack Flacco two or three times on Sunday I think he'll have a great shot to do it. If the NFL didn't take away one of his sacks against the Dolphins from Week 1 he'd be even closer right now.
He was the only guy who showed up against the Packers last game. Two sacks on Rodgers. He's due for a three-sack game soon.
John McClain thinks the Texans will beat the Ravens and Bills their next two games. And enter their next Sunday Night Football game against the Chicago Bears with a 7-1 record. It's possible the Bears will also be 7-1 going into that game if they don't lose until then.
http://blog.chron.com/ultimatetexans/2012/10/mcclain-texans-should-be-7-1-before-their-next-sunday-night-game/McClain: Texans should be 7-1 before their next Sunday night gameThe Texans should beat Baltimore for the first time. Revenge should be sweet against a team that’s defeated them three times in the last two seasons, including 20-13 in last season’s playoffs. The Texans should enter the bye week with a 6-1 record. After the bye, they play Buffalo at Reliant Stadium. It’ll be Mario Williams’ homecoming. The Bills are 3-3. The Texans should beat them.
The way I see it, the Texans should be 7-1 at the midway point of the season. Before the season, who wouldn’t have been happy with a 7-1 record? The answer is nobody.
Now, if the Texans aren’t 7-1, then something is wrong. If they lose to the Ravens, they’ll have to return to the proverbial drawing board. If they lose to the Ravens and Bills to fall to 5-3 with a three-game losing streak, then hit the PANIC BUTTON!!!
I think the Texans have too much talent to lose to the Ravens and Bills. I think they’ll be 7-1 entering another Sunday night game. This one will be at Chicago, and if the Texans don’t play better against the Bears than they did against the Packers, they may never get another Sunday night game.
