The roof will definitely be closed for tonight's Texans versus Packers game. About 50 % chance of rain is in the forecast. I live about 20 minutes from Reliant Stadium and it's pitch dark outside. I've got some thunderstorms and rain moving in right now and it's not even noontime yet. Get ready for a really loud environment tonight. Maybe the crowd noise will draw 5 or 6 false start penalties from the Packers. We've got to blitz the hell out of Aaron Rodgers.

Finally the rain stopped. It must have been a bad storm that moved on by. Now I've got a rainbow outside. I hope that means some good vibes for tonight's game but more rain is expected later. It's a good thing for the tailgaters that this game wasn't early. They would be out there barbecuing under the tents.

Think I'd rather be under the tent than in this humidity lol. But I've never gone at all anyway so who knows. Northwest side had a ton of lightning/thunder and enough rain to get the ground nice and wet. Roof closed for sure as the chance of rain is still lingering...bring the noise!! I am feeling this is going to be a damn good game

It hasn't rained that much since this morning. Couple drizzles only and the sun is out. 4 more hours until kickoff. I'm ready for the game!!!!

In terms of winning the 1st seed in the AFC it's not all that bad losing a game to an NFC team. Beat the Ravens next Sunday, get to 6-1 and own the tiebreaker with them. That would be more important, not to mention an undefeated conference record. The problem is winning a Super Bowl is going to be impossible. We got bitch slapped by the Packers and Giants in Houston, as well as the Saints in New Orleans, the last three regular-season games we played the past three Super Bowl champions (all NFC teams). If we can't beat the elite teams from the NFC then we have no chance to win a Super Bowl. Sure, I'll like to get there anyways.

Tim Dobbins sucks ass. I would move Brooks Reed to ILB and start Whitney Mercilus at OLB. It's time...

Brian Cushing was the heart and soul of our defense. Team captain for a reason once DeMeco Ryans was traded. Brooks Reed is the only good LB we have left who can defend the pass, run tackle and blitz. The other three only do one thing good but not all three. I still have high hopes for Whitney Mercilus but the talented rookie can't get on the field very often. Wade Phillips is taking his time developing him. He's only seeing five plays a game right now and is picking up one or two tackles per game (no sacks yet). But I can't complain if the Ravens lost Ray Lewis. It will be two evenly matched 5-1 teams on Sunday. The 1st seed in the AFC is on the line.

We've never beaten the Ravens before so I'm a little anxious for this game. Also Joe Flacco likes to run the no-huddle offense from what I've seen watching the Ravens play a few times this year. The Texans defense struggles against that more than anything else. Joe Flacco isn't Aaron Rodgers so we may have a chance. I don't think Flacco will throw 6 TDs against us even if we play poorly. They'll want to run the ball with Ray Rice 20 or so times, and the Packers didn't even try to run that much.

Teams I don't think we can beat right now: Giants, Packers and maybe the Falcons (this year).

All of the teams I fear are in the NFC. So it's not a big deal unless we can reach Super Bowl 47 and at that point it's only one game. I still think we can take the AFC if we can avoid another key injury and somebody steps up at inside linebacker to help replace Cushing's loss. I didn't see a whole lot out of Tim Dobbins and Bradie James last night so I'm definitely concerned. But the entire defense (except for J.J. Watt) played horrible last night.
