A perfect throw for a 5'9" receiver that was behind him causing him to have to do a 360 and lay out as much as he possibly could? Yea?

He was also wide open.

Throw was on Brady not Welker. Welker could catch a ball like that, sure, doesn't change the fact that he made it 10x more difficult for him to catch it.

Defender coming over the top, if he leads him it a easy pick. Guy trailing welker if its under thrown another easy pic.
He made the throw assuming Welker could catch it like he had all season.

Should we also bring up that the Giants are a run first team and that the Patriots offensive system highly favors Brady in a statistical matchup?

They last in rushing last season weren't they?

I would have said "manning had more time of possession because he completed key passes to sustain drives and maintain possession."

No "Manning had more TOP because the patriots secondary was a joke and he was throwing at will".

No he didn't, Wes was WIDE OPEN, he was just off on the throw. He didn't mean to throw it to his back shoulder when Welker's body was facing the opposite direction. Don't be ridiculous.

it was thrown to the outside shoulder away from coverage. not behind him?

even then he had two hands on it; welker just made it more difficult to catch.

Passes completed was the emphasis.
Blame your defenders all you want, Manning found the open receiver and got him the ball on key downs.

TOP isn't as important anymore. There's too many quick strike offenses for it to be the big tell all story it used to be. A lot of teams run no huddle all the time and eliminate the need to keep their offense on the field longer than the opponent. Hell, you even have teams like the Packers that made a modified no huddle for road games where just the line huddled with Rodgers for a few seconds while the skill position guys remained out of the huddle.

well when comparing the performances TOP factors in a lot imo.

When our run game isn't working we continue to run the football until we have some success which is why our offense is so hard to watch sometimes... especially in the red zone where Gilbride is at his finest.................... Run, run pass.

Watch the video and tell me if he throws in right over his shoulder Welker is either dead or its picked.

He throws it to his right shoulder instead of his left and the Patriots win the game, plain and simple.
