A recap of the offseason moves so far.

Quote
--> Defensive end Cliff Avril received a tender from the Lions that is on a first- and third-round level. That is the highest level for restricted free agent tenders.

--> Cornerback Chris Houston was tendered an offer at an unknown level. He commented on returning to Detroit next season and said he would test free agency before making a decision.

--> Defensive end Turk McBride was tendered at a second-round level.

--> Safety John Wendling was tendered at an original-round level (sixth-round). Offensive guard/center Dylan Gandy and fullback Jerome Felton also received original-round tenders. (Gandy was a fourth-round pick and Felton was picked in the fifth round.)

--> Kicker Dave Rayner and defensive tackle Andre Fluellen received tenders, but we currently don't know what level they are.

--> Cornerbacks Paul Pratt and Prince Miller, both exclusive rights free agents, were tendered offers.

--> Linebacker Zack Follett was tendered an offer and already signed it.

--> The Lions released linebacker Julian Peterson.

--> Running back Kevin Smith was not extended a tendered contract offer. The same goes for cornerback Brandon McDonald.

--> Wide receiver Brian Clark decided to retire to pursue a coaching career.

As you can see, there has already been a lot of roster-related activity this week. I would expect there to be a bit more in the coming days as we continue to find out which restricted free agents were tendered offers. The tenders have already been sent out, but we haven't yet heard from guys like Drew Stanton, Bobby Carpenter, Corey Hilliard and Tye Hill. At least a couple of those players were expected to be tendered an offer, so right now we are just waiting for the news to come out about them.

It's safe to say some off-season moves (Via FA & Draft) will include a corner back, running back, and a linebacker. (Release of McDonald, Peterson, and K-"OhIBrokeMyHip" Smooth)

Earlier in the week, Stafford was at Georgia's pro day and spoke with NFL.com's Steve Wyche about his recovery and his future plans for the offseason.

Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford said Tuesday that he is recovering well from surgery on his throwing shoulder, and when he is healthy, he will get together with wide receiver Calvin Johnson and tight end Brandon Pettigrew, among others, for workouts.

Stafford said at University of Georgia pro day -- he attended the school before going No. 1 overall in the 2009 NFL Draft -- that he is rehabilitating in Birmingham, Ala., with therapists from Dr. James Andrews' office. Andrew performed the surgery on Stafford's right shoulder in January.

Just wanted to pass this interesting tid bit around. The UGA Bulldogs spring game will consist of a "legends" skills competition. Our very own franchise QB Matthew Stafford is scheduled to participate in this competition. Which involves throwing pass routes. They are not specifically saying what Matthew will do in this QB Legends contest but apparently the release has him competing in the challenge with DJ Shockley and others. Also if anyone on here is in the Georigia/ Atlanta area it would be really cool to know how Matt does in the competition. Here is the story

At halftime of G-Day, former Bulldogs David Greene, D.J. Shockley, Matthew Stafford and Zeier will participate in the Legends Quarterbacks Challenge. The quarterbacks can earn points for various skills. A contestant paired with the  winning quarterback will have an opportunity to make a 25-yard pass into a barrel to win $25,000 to be split by the contestant and the Johnathan Taylor Fund.

I don't think Stafford will be taking this very seriously but its a good sign his healing well.
