I have never seen turkey bacon that wasn't high in sodium, so salted is kind of intrinsic, but I agree with your greater point: bacon is overrated

You do know that pigs are smarter than cats and dogs, right? Why is killing them for food not just as horrible...
I still am okay with eating meat, but there is just something about cool animals.. I don't think they should be killed. Especially big cats like bobcats and mountain lions, which are hunted for sport or simply trapped for their skins, which has got to be an agonizing way to die.
Plus I see the points made by animal rights people regarding the living conditions of most farm-raised livestock (chickens get the worst of it), but there isn't even any place around here where I can buy more humane meat, at least not that I know of
