I hope the league fines and suspends him. Likely he'll be fined is what I hear. He should be out until Cushing comes back Week 1 next season.

HOUSTON –  The Houston Texans set out to solve two issues Wednesday, cutting return specialist Trindon Holliday and signing linebacker Barrett Ruud in the wake of Brian Cushing's season-ending injury. Kubiak said fourth-round draft pick Keshawn Martin will take over punt and kickoff return duties, an area where he excelled at Michigan State. The 5-11, 190-pound Martin ranks second in school history in punt return yards (659), eighth in kickoff return yards (1,100) and 10th in all-purpose yards (4,013).

"You've got to hit it and get it on those things," Martin said. "I've got my opportunity now, so we're going to see where it takes us."
Martin has been working "heavily" on returning kicks for the past month, Kubiak said, and now he can make that his sole focus, with receiver Lestar Jean healthy again. Jean has missed the last two games following arthroscopic surgery on his left knee last month.

Backup running back Justin Forsett and starting safety Danieal Manning also have experience returning kicks, but Kubiak said Martin is his first choice.
"Hopefully, he can give us a boost, get us going a little bit," Kubiak said.

Notes: Kubiak said RB Ben Tate (toe) practiced on Wednesday and is expected to play on Sunday. Tate sat out Monday night's game.

Good to hear. I am sure Martin will do a great job in His new spot.

The Texans offense is going to step up and light it up. I'm confident they'll come out guns blazing and score a lot of points now that Lestar Jean and Ben Tate are back. They were on the verge of putting it all together in the Denver game. They have to out-score the Packers and Ravens to win the next two games. They can't rest on the defense anymore. At least not in the next few games.

HOUSTON (AP) — The NFL has taken away one of Houston defensive end J.J. Watt's sacks, dropping him behind Green Bay linebacker Clay Matthews for the league lead.

Watt had 8½ sacks following Monday night's 23-17 win over the New York Jets. The league removed Watt's solo sack of Ryan Tannehill in the second quarter of Houston's opening 30-10 win over Miami. Watt also earned a half-sack with Antonio Smith later in the game.

Matthews has a league-high eight sacks, and Watt now has 7½. The Texans (5-0) play Green Bay (2-3) on Sunday night.

Texans defensive coordinator Wade Phillips agreed with the change to Watt's total, although he wondered why it took so long to change it. Watt is still credited with a tackle for loss, and has 11 this season, second to Denver's Von Miller (12).

The NFL claims it was a designed run play for Ryan Tannehill even though Watt tackled him a full yard behind the line of scrimmage. Correct me if I'm wrong but anytime you tackle a QB behind the line of scrimmage isn't that a sack? What a damn joke that the NFL does this over a month later.

Oh well, it's going to be an epic game on Sunday Night. So much hatred for the Texans lately, and some idiot people actually cheered when Cushing tore his ACL. The team is still undefeated the last time I checked. They're going for 6-0 on primetime TV. Thank goodness it's in Reliant Stadium. They won't have to face anymore adversity outside of Houston. They'll be in sold-out and loud stadium which will be 90 % Houston fans and 10 % Green Bay fans.

If anyone in the greater Houston area knows someone that's selling tickets to this game, let me know.

I've been checking Craigslist, but all the tickets are like 300$+

Haven't checked either, I assumed that if they're 300+ on Craigslist, they'd be at least as much on Stubhub. Gonna check now though.

I'm getting a ticket for the Bills game in three weeks (following the bye). They'll be much cheaper hopefully.

Brian Cushing's last tweet was that of a champion.

The NFL fined Jets' Matt Slauson $10k for his hit on Brian Cushing and he plans to appeal.

New York Jets guard Matt Slauson was asked about the season-ending knee injury suffered by Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing. "I don't know why this is a big deal," Slauson said after practice Wednesday. "I feel bad Cushing got hurt, that wasn't my intent at all, but you know, I've got to do my job."
