HOUSTON (AP) — The NFL has taken away one of Houston defensive end J.J. Watt's sacks, dropping him behind Green Bay linebacker Clay Matthews for the league lead.
Watt had 8½ sacks following Monday night's 23-17 win over the New York Jets. The league removed Watt's solo sack of Ryan Tannehill in the second quarter of Houston's opening 30-10 win over Miami. Watt also earned a half-sack with Antonio Smith later in the game.
Matthews has a league-high eight sacks, and Watt now has 7½. The Texans (5-0) play Green Bay (2-3) on Sunday night.
Texans defensive coordinator Wade Phillips agreed with the change to Watt's total, although he wondered why it took so long to change it. Watt is still credited with a tackle for loss, and has 11 this season, second to Denver's Von Miller (12).

Correct me if I'm wrong but anytime you tackle a QB behind the line of scrimmage isn't that a sack? What a damn joke that the NFL does this over a month later.
Oh well, it's going to be an epic game on Sunday Night. So much hatred for the Texans lately, and some idiot people actually cheered when Cushing tore his ACL. The team is still undefeated the last time I checked. They're going for 6-0 on primetime TV. Thank goodness it's in Reliant Stadium. They won't have to face anymore adversity outside of Houston. They'll be in sold-out and loud stadium which will be 90 % Houston fans and 10 % Green Bay fans.
