Some speculation points to wanting to hire Bienemy, which would make sense because Harbs loves Reid's coaching tree. And from Bienemy's perspective, a chance to prove himself while outside of Reid's shadow is important.

I do not want Beinemy. I don't trust that he's important to what the Chiefs do, I'm worried he's just Andy Reid's Matt Patricia. Plus he's been a presumptive head coach for like...5 years now? Something must be stopping him from getting hired. He's from the Andy Reid tree, comes personally recommended by Andy, and dude STILL can't get a top job.

Last I heard we where in play for Monken, and he'd be my top choice.

We've given second interviews to Canales, Monken, Angelichio, Engram, Outten. Bienemy is likely on the radar too.

I don't hate the possibility of Bienemy, since players have complimented his preparedness in the past, and he had to have learned somethingunder Reid all these years, even if he wasn't the architect or even the play-caller of the offense. I think him getting passed-over for HC jobs might've been because he's got a pretty embarrassing character record with sexual assault and whatnot.

I think Engram is just a favor to a guy who's about to be let go (bearing in mind the next OC is going to bring in his guys, most likely). It's a way of getting Engram's name out there to other coaches who might need him. If Engram actually had any faith from Harbaugh, Roman would have been fired mid-season and replaced with Engram.

I'm aware and to me that's just another reason not to hire this dude. We're not going in house for a replacement. The players would riot. Any in house interviews are like you said a professional courtesy.

This FA class of receivers is super depressing. We might have to reach for receiver talent in the draft and we don't draft wideouts well when we DON'T have to reach...

I'm curious to hear from Raven's buzzins, what do we think the % is that Lamar signs long term? Before the season even started I had it at 50/50, and I think it's only gone down from there. I'd put it at 25% right now, I really think he walks for a bag.

I'd rather keep him, but honestly I'd be ok letting him go for the right compensation. I think the conversation would start at two first rounders, and we have a good enough team that we could make a playoff run with the current roster and two or three extra firsts.

Thoughts?
