I like the pic, should get some press to cover Tampa for once.

Probably gonna go o-line today, but we'll see.

Rivers would probably want to go to a contender, right? At least with a young QB you can build around him and not put pressure to try and make a run that quickly.

I'm so biased in favor of Mariota it isn't even funny, even if he's like Kaepernick and he's only good for 2-3 years I wouldn't even give a shit, tired of a boring, lackluster offense that I've seen them run for the last half decade.

You gonna boycott the team now we got Winston? I think this is damn good for us - especially with the OL additions. Gonna need new sigs lol

No, the media got me hyped on the pick in the months leading up to the draft. My problems with him were twofold -- I think he's something of a douche personally, or at least he comes off one, since I don't know him personally lol, and second is that I was hugely biased in favor of Mariota because I watched him for years with Oregon and feel like he's someone I'd rather have fronting my team than Winston. I worried about Winston's interceptions, especially when you contrast them with Mariota's; although that might be because their respective playcalling.

At the end of the day I wanted the team to take one of the two, or any QB for that matter, at #1 for press if nothing else. Since they've taken Winston the media has probably covered Tampa more than they did in the past two years combined. The team needs press in the same way the Panthers needed it preceding the Cam Newton pick. I want the team to get more national games, ideally, and I want people to give a fuck about them so that they'll succeed and a franchise QB helps that. If Winston goes down in flames hopefully he'll at least have helped that cause positively a little bit before he goes.

I'll be excited for the season, obviously, but still on the fence about him.

The Ducks post-season has had most of my attention lately haha.

I notice the team declined to pick up Martin's option, and I mean you can hardly blame them, guys like Rainey and Mike James or whoever the fuck was RB opposite the other two have done just as well and they are bringing a few in to camp with them from draft and FA (undrafted guys, including that dude from Louisville), so they are hardly hurting at RB. I'd love to see Martin rebound huge and reestablish himself as the #1 back but it doesn't seem likely.

I get you dude, I ddnt have the luxury of knowing either qb so I was also happy with either option.

The added press coverage is good because its nice to turn on NFLN at any time and hear about the Bucs :D

I see no reason this team wont be competitive next year offensively. OLine got the help it needed, and we are definately not at a Starting Lineup yet. Better Oline means once again, Mike Evans will be a beast, but more importantly we get our Run game back!! I would wager that Doug will have a vastly superior year to last year (i don't count his Schiano Injury season)

We aren't hurting at RB, we have comfortable depth to the tune of 4 starters. Mike James isn't going anywhere I don't think. Dirk Koetter has already said he likes Martin and James, with no disrespect to Rainey or Simms, a healthy Dougzilla will win the starting job in training camp.

I like this Kwon Alexander dude - looks legit! I just had the snooker championships, next will be NFL and Rugby World Cup! B)

Oh yeah, and our starting QB was undefeated in college last year - wut xD

This probably sums up 85% of Tampa Bay fans. The man has made himself pretty unlikable but homering has to be done.

If that's truly the case about your fan base, then it's comical. Winston gives you guys the best chance to succeed from day 1 and beyond. Anybody who wanted Mariota is purely living on college scheme hype. Winston is ready to go, while Mariota is going to need to be babysat through out his first couple years.

I'm sure a lot of people wanted Leonard Williams over both and to either wait on a better prospect or go with Glennon at QB and rely on defense. Winston was hardly an Andrew Luck type prospect that nobody doubted, there's a couple of questions involved.

Unfortunately it was pretty obvious that Tampa's offense does not play towards Mariota's strengths :/.

Luck is a once in a decade type player. The last QB who came out as polished as him was Peyton Manning.

The only question about Winston was his off field maturity. The guy is very football smart. I'd rank him just under Bridgewater as far as NFL ready goes, coming out of College. Partially because Winston has the off field issues and Bridgewater was as clean of a prospect as you could get. Bridgewater also ran most of that Offense while in College.

I loved Bridgewater throughout the whole season/draft process and would have took him #3 all day. He was a steal for the Vikings and will be a long term QB in the NFL without question. I see Winston as a very similar player. He doesn't have the strongest arm and isn't the fastest, but he's bigger than Teddy Ballgame is and Winston should do perfectly fine in the NFL from day 1.

Mariota might be able to hang in the NFL, but it's going to take a few years for him to develop. I don't see many coaching staffs being afforded the time to let Mariota, or any QB for that matter, to sit and/or learn through 3 years of hard times without being fired.
