You haven't had a good long island imo. That was always one of my favorite to make from scratch. Using a mix will always disappoint (either too sweet or not any booze). I use less gin and vodka in mine.

How to enjoy a Cheesehead Long Island:

Step 1.) Fill glass with vodka
Step 2.) Drink
Step 3.) Repeat steps 1 & 2

1/2 oz gin
1/2 oz light rum
1/2 oz vodka
1/2 oz peach schnapps
1/2 oz Blue Curacao liqueur
1/2 oz triple sec
1 can Red Bull® energy drink

Use to drink these in Wa all the time.



I have not. Either it taste like pure booze (good) or it taste like sour mix (bad). That's the only two ways I've had mine.
